In October 2023 I took part in the Backpack Making class offered by Douglas Davidson (The Brown Buffalo) through his education platform CANVASWORKER.

This had been a dream of mine to participate in for the past 5 years and I was not disappointed. The 4 days spent gaining experience using industrial sewing machines, digging into the materials and components of a backpack, and the order of operations of construction was an incredible education.

It was an incredible growing experience in both my understanding of hands-on manufacture and my ability to learn and stretch myself in new directions
